Are LEGO BrickHeadz worth buying? And how can iDisplayit stackable display cases safeguard your Harry Potter, Avatar and Disney sets?
iDisplayit designs and manufactures display solutions for your valued collectibles, so you can show them off with pride. This website is dedicated to supplying display cases and other great accessories for collectibles.
Love them or hate them, the LEGO BrickHeadz line is here to stay. Following the first release in 2016, we have seen 188 sets to date, with plenty more expected in future as Model Designers put their heads together to bring out a range of new figures to satisfy collectors. BrickHeadz collectables have always divided opinions with their “brick” square-headed design and blocky form. But many would say that the charm of the models lies in their unusual design, which breaks with the usual LEGO style. Newcomers to the range might wonder how the rectangular shape and simple pair of large eyes and blank face can portray the distinctive look of each character, especially when displayed together. The Spice Girls Tribute (40548) set is an excellent example of how this is achieved, with each band member’s chart-topping girl power reflected in the iconic clothing colour palette and hairdo. Models like Buzz Lightyear (40552) are instantly recognisable thanks to the colour scheme and extra features like the iconic jetpack wings. We are huge fans of the Harry Potter franchise sets, especially the Professors of Hogwarts (40560). You can see how each professor’s unique feature stands out, from Mad Eye’s eye to Trelawney’s glasses and McGonagall’s hat. What Heroes and Villains Can You Buy in LEGO BrickHeadz Form? There is something for everyone in the BrickHeadz range, with representations of heroes and villains from all the most popular franchises: Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, Disney, DC, and Stranger Things.Recent releases also include the first BrickHeadz set from the Avatar franchise: Jake Sully & his Avatar. It was also exciting to see a new release from the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi show, offering a unique version of the Jedi hero and nemesis Darth Vader. Did we mention that a new bunch of Lord of the Rings BrickHeadz came out recently? You can read about them here. There are also plenty of non-franchise figures available. The Wedding Groom (40384) and Wedding Bride (40383) could make funky wedding gifts or even serve as pride of place on the wedding cake! To honour the upcoming Disney 100th Anniversary, LEGO have also released brick set 40622, which includes iconic characters such as Snow White, Tinkerbell, retro black-and-white Mickey, and the first ever animated character, Oswald the Rabbit. LEGO also released several football-themed BrickHeadz for Barcelona and Manchester United. This leaves us wondering whether a more extensive range of football figures could be released in future. It would be great to collect all eleven players from a team, perhaps with classic team line-ups from the past. LEGO could also score the winning goal with customers by expanding its license to include other clubs. How Much Do LEGO BrickHeadz Cost? LEGO BrickHeadz are easy to build with straightforward LEGO elements (each figure usually takes about a quarter of an hour to assemble). It is also worth noting that the BrickHeadz tend to cost a lot less than some of the larger LEGO sets. For example, customers can pick up The Spice Girls Tribute (40548) for just $49.99, compared to many of the official franchise sets, which usually cost over $100. Most of the individual BrickHeadz models also cost under $10, making them some of the most affordable LEGO sets available. Displaying And Protecting Your LEGO BrickHeadz Models Due to their smaller shape and uniform layout, BrickHeadz make perfect innovative and ergonomic sets to display at home, looking especially funky when placed on bookshelves and smaller spaces that bigger sets can’t fit into. iDisplayit has already produced a custom protective display option for the Spice Girls Tribute set (with the choice of a printed Union Jack background) and the Manchester United BrickHeadz LEGO 40541. We recently updated our larger showcase collections to include options for 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 individual figures. These are all available with a special clear transparent base with cut-outs, so multiple cases can be stacked on top of one another while still supported by the top screw fittings. Are LEGO BrickHeadz A Good Investment? LEGO set collectors will often consider how much their new sets will increase in value over time, and the BrickHeadz range has produced some interesting results on this subject. We headed over to to see how much popular discontinued LEGO BrickHeadz sets were being advertised for at a Buy It Now price for new and boxed conditions. As you can see, there is a significant value increase on the original RRPs for many desirable sets. We predict plenty more surprises and unexpected releases from all our favourite sagas. Perhaps we’ll even see some more iconic bands such as the Beatles or the Rolling Stones recreated – the brick style is perfect for this, as we have seen with the Spice Girls set.
