This wine has a complex character. It is elegant, dry and persistent, true to tradition. A classic harmony, intense its deep garnet colour. Well-balanced, forceful, with sour cherries, raisins and spices bouquet. Thanks to its structure and complexity it is perfect combined with complex and succulent meat dishes such as, boiled meat, slow-cooking meats, and pork. Ideal with the grill or simply to meditate. To be served at 18°C.

The Palazzo Maffei estate is mentioned in the local maps since 1600, but probably it dates back to more ancient times.
